Duties

The Bible teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, Christ-centered instruction to a diverse body of students from Grades 1 through 12.
Because our student population varies by grade, you will need the flexibility to lead multi-grade clusters (combining 2&ndash;3 grade levels) while maintaining a classroom environment that fosters curiosity and spiritual growth.
Beyond the classroom, you will serve as a bridge between the school, the home, and the wider community, acting as a visible, positive spiritual mentor who embodies the values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Develop and deliver age-appropriate Bible lessons for elementary, middle, and high school students, adapting teaching methods for multi-grade classrooms.</li>
<li>Serve as a spiritual role model for students and staff, fostering a school culture rooted in grace, service, and biblical principles.</li>
<li>Actively engage with parents, via parent-teacher conferences, visitations, or other means as appropriate,&nbsp;to support the spiritual development of their children.</li>
<li>Build strong professional relationships with colleagues across all departments.</li>
<li>Provide guidance and support to students from various Christian backgrounds, helping them navigate their faith in a contemporary context.</li>
<li>Organize or assist with school-wide spiritual activities, such as weeks of prayer, chapel services, or community service projects.</li>
<li>Lead or assist the Adventurer - Pathfinder Club.</li>
<li>Support Amman Church sabbath school and outreach activities.</li>
</ul>

Required Experience

<ul>
<li>Mature member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church as evidenced by a strong commitment to its mission and lifestyle.</li>
<li>Interest in and aptitude for cross-cultural ministry.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Demonstrate intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, including leading, inspiring, supporting, working in a team,&nbsp;listening, and conflict management.</li>
<li>Self-motivated, proactive, accountable, organized, friendly, adaptable, teachable.</li>
<li style="font-weight: bold;">A Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Theology, Religion, or Religious Education required.</li>
<li>Experience teaching Bible or Religious Studies.</li>
<li>Ability to manage "clustered" classrooms and tailor lessons for a wide range of developmental stages (Grades 1&ndash;12).</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with parents and staff.</li>
<li>Proficiency in English is required (CEFR B2 or higher); proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred given the local context in Amman.</li>

Amman is&nbsp;one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. It is today very large, with a population estimated to be around four million.
Those four million people account for around two-thirds of Jordan&rsquo;s total population. The vast majority of the population is Arabs, either native Jordanian &mdash; including some Bedouin &mdash; or Palestinian. The biggest religion by far is Islam, at more than 90% of the population, with around 8% Christians. Amman has quite a young demographic.
Amman sits in the north of Jordan, a country which is bordered by Syria to the north, Saudi Arabia to the south-east, Iraq to the north-east and the West Bank and Israel to the west. It is politically much more stable than many of those countries, and quite liberal by regional standards. The Jordanian people are known for their hospitality.
The voltage is 220.&nbsp;Plugs are usually type C (two round pins).
School year goes from August to June. Notes about finances:
